Coinbase-Backed Crypto Group Reveals Midterm Endorsements After Clarity Act Collapse

Stand With Crypto, the powerhouse advocacy group launched by Coinbase last year, has officially rolled out a new wave of bipartisan endorsements for both the House and Senate just weeks before the midterm elections. This strategic pivot comes on the heels of the legislative collapse of the Clarity Act, which failed to pass the Senate in a narrow forty nine to fifty vote. While some viewed the bill’s failure as a stalemate, Stand With Crypto is framing it as a catalyst for action, signaling that they will hold lawmakers accountable at the ballot box for opposing digital asset policies.

The group’s latest selections emphasize policy alignment over partisan loyalty. In the Senate, they have thrown their weight behind Republican Jon Husted in Ohio, where he faces off against Sherrod Brown, a well known critic of cryptocurrency. They are also supporting Republican Ashley Hinson in Iowa and Democrat Chris Pappas in New Hampshire. On the House side, the list includes figures like Republican Mariannette Miller Meeks and Democrat Shomari Figures. By backing candidates from both sides of the aisle, the organization hopes to build a broad coalition capable of pushing future legislation through a divided Congress.

This electoral push arrives amidst an unprecedented flood of industry capital entering politics. Although Stand With Crypto focuses on voter mobilization rather than direct donations, its efforts run parallel to massive spends from aligned entities like Fairshake, which recently poured thirty million dollars into opposition research and ads targeting critics like Senator Brown. Total crypto aligned spending for this cycle is already approaching two hundred million dollars, reflecting an industry that is increasingly willing to treat election cycles as high stakes battlegrounds for regulatory survival.

Executive Director Mason Lynaugh says his network of millions of advocates is now laser focused on replacing skeptics with champions of digital assets. For many in the space, these endorsements are less about individual personalities and more about ensuring that those sitting on key committees do not block innovation through caution or ideology. As the countdown to November begins, Ohio has become a primary testing ground to see if this financial engine can actually shift voters and reshape how Washington views the future of money.
